Bill Gifford Joins Business Development Team in Leadership Role
SolMicroGrid, an Energy-as-a-Service microgrid company focused on the commercial and industrial (“C&I”) market, announced the appointment of Bill Gifford as Vice President of Business Development. Gifford joins the firm from Dynamic Energy where he oversaw sales operations and optimized revenue generation. His background includes growing talented sales teams in the renewable energy industry.
Bill Gifford, VP of Business Development, said, “I am incredibly excited to join the SolMicroGrid Team. Microgrids have the remarkable ability to empower a diverse range of industries to achieve true energy independence while simultaneously reducing operational expenses. I’m eager to explore innovative strategies that not only promote sustainability but also create lasting economic benefits for our clients and their communities.”
Kirk Edelman, CEO of SolMicroGrid, said, “We are delighted to bring Bill Gifford on board to lead our growing Business Development team. His strong sales experience will allow us to provide better service to new clients and grow our existing customer base. We all look forward to working with Bill in his new role at SolMicroGrid.”
Gifford joins another recent senior hire, Bob Duva, who joined the firm as SVP of Operations in August. Both of these roles bring specialized expertise that position the company for future growth. SolMicroGrid recently opened a New York office and continues to develop, construct and operate a rapidly growing fleet of solar-enabled, microgrid projects for its C&I clients. The team is pursuing opportunities to expand its customer base in California and the Northeast and is committed to promoting innovative solutions to address the growing need for sustainable energy and resiliency.
