Role Description
We are seeking a Director of Finance and Administration to lead our financial and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Energy industry and a proven track record of success in managing complex financial operations and driving strategic initiatives. The position is based in SolMicroGrid’s Midtown New York office.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management
Oversee all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes.
Analyze complex financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards.
Support existing project finance activities.
Administrative Leadership
Lead and manage the administrative functions, including HR, IT, and facilities.
Develop and implement efficient administrative processes and systems.
Oversee risk management and insurance programs.
Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
Strategic Partnership:
Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team on strategic planning and decision-making.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Board of Directors.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience in the Energy Industry
- Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred
- 8-10 years’ experience in a senior finance position
- Extensive experience in financial leadership roles, preferably in a similar industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams
- Deep understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other business software
- Extremely knowledgeable in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis
- Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to successfully foster new and maintain long-standing business relationships
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and written; skilled in the art of negotiation
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
- Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make important decisions under pressure
